The Astrolabe Valleys Kekerengu Coast Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes grown at two vineyards in the Kekerengu Coast sub-region on Marlborough’s Southern Coast. We machine-harvest the grapes at night or in the cool parts of the day to preserve the purity and intensity of flavours. Neutral wine yeast strains allow the powerful fruit flavours to dominate. A portion of hand-picked, high solids and wild barrel ferment wine was blended in to add subtle texture and
complexity. I like to bring through the sense of the nearby sea in my Kekerengu Coast Sauvignon Blanc with a bone-dry, almost salty finish to the wine.
